Rick did an outstanding job of assessing my needs, making appropriate suggestions, and fielding follow-up questions in a timely manner. The install crew was efficient and completed the install by early afternoon. While the crew did remove all the old components the basement floor could have used a sweeping – but I did add five sheet metal screws to my collection. I liked the rigid PVC drain line rather than the old hose drain line. The inspector suggested adding a bead of caulking on one furnace seam and twice mentioned “these guys do fine work”.-- Larry M.

We built our home 12 years ago so we have had a lot of experience with Welsch. That experience has been especially good, but it became especially so yesterday. Our upstairs thermostat required new batteries so I put in three new batteries. I could not for the life of me program the thermostat so the air conditioning would work. I called you and in spite of a work overload, the Welsch man showed up in a short time and in 5 minutes had it going. I asked him, “Can I pay you or will Welsch send me a bill?” He said, “They told me if it was quick and simple don’t charge anything.” I want you to know that we appreciate that kind of consideration. We called Welsch to provide a second opinion after another service provider recommended a new furnace. The technician was not only professional, prompt and courteous, he was unbelievably thorough! He insisted on combing through every aspect of our furnace to diagnose a problem, and found one in the most unlikely of places. (It seems a June Bug had gotten trapped in part of the apparatus that controls the air flow, and as a result, it was causing the system to malfunction.) He removed the dead bug, and our furnace has been working ever since. Lost air conditioning on Labor Day weekend when it was high 90’s. They actually came out on Labor Day and found the problem. It was the blower on the furnace. Serviceman recommended that I replace the furnace, which I did. The cost to put in a new blower was almost half of a new furnace which was more efficient. The day after Labor Day they were there first thing in the morning and installed the new furnace. They did not cut corners and the install was done correctly. I also used them in the past for a new air conditioner and had the same excellent service. Would use them again if needed. Very, very satisfied.-- RD

Welsch Heating & Cooling were professional from the first steps to the completion of my project. They replaced two furnaces in my house. The sales rep was trustworthy with the units he recommended. He also pointed out existing ventilation problems that could be a safety concern. The installation crew were friendly and efficient. They cleaned up their work area and removed old units without any problems. They addressed the saftey concern to ensure furnace was ventilated properly to code. They took care of city code inspections before completing the job. Service crew had to be called out twice thereafter to adjust ventilation and blower settings. Service crew was professional and friendly.-- Marcus P.
• Had to call Welsch this morning to ask about a thermostat issue. Both of the people I spoke with (the receptionist and the service tech) were extremely nice and helpful. The service tech gave me a few different options to try to rectify the thermostat issue before scheduling a service call. How many companies will do that? But Welsch is smart enough to know that scheduling service calls when they might not be needed is a waste of your time and money. You certainly can’t say that for many service companies!

I had other bids for an A/C and furnace, and Welsh was not the lowest bid, but it was the professionalism and knowledge of Rick (estimator), and the Lennox product that caused me to choose Welsh (for the 2nd time) to install the new system. I was just as impressed with Mark (installer) and his installer colleague with their attention to detail on the install. They finished under 6 hours, and the install appears to be excellent. That’s great since an HVAC system’s reliability has more to do with a professional install than the reliability of the equipment itself. But I am sold on Lennox, since Welsh was replacing an original Lennox HVAC system that had lasted 23 years, and the furnace could have gone on probably for many more years. You can’t go wrong with a Welsh installed Lennox HVAC system in my opinion.-- MW

Yesterday – Sunday – my heater quit (it is not quite 1 year old). I called your answering service and received a return call within 15 minutes. David walked me through all the possible fixes and then had me restart the heater. It popped right on. He then said that he wanted someone to look at the unit to make sure all was well. I received a phone call from your company at 8am today telling me to expect a service tech before noon! He came at 8:30, checked everything out – cleaned the fuel ” igniter thingy” and said that it should be fine. He was out of here in 45 minutes! Very nice man.

I have used them since 1997 and have never been disappointed! Once we had a horrible sickening smell in our house. The gas company couldn’t and told us to call the fire department who said maybe it was The furnace. It was 2 degrees F outside and we had to leave the house open. The man from welsh said it wasn’t the furnace but he promised he wouldn’t leave till he found it. Turned out a gas can had spilled in the garage and got into insulation near furnace, so the smell permeated the house. Way above and beyond. We also the help they gave us in installing the furnace and AC…they did lots of explaining and helped us learn how to use the new thermostat. They could have told us to read the manual.-- VC

First of all thank you for getting a technician out here with a few hours.
Secondly, I really appreciate the way the resolution to my problem was handled.
Rob was prompt, courteous, and obviously, very knowledgeable. His diagnosis was that the fan blade (wheel) on the blower motor was out of balance or cracked which was causing the bearing noise from the motor. He suggested that we replace the wheel and since the motor was just replaced last year, Welsch would replace the motor under warranty also because the wheel problem could have caused stress on the motor which, in turn, could result in premature failure of the motor.
The point is, I just want you to know how refreshing it is to be dealing with a company that, first of all, employs folks the caliber of Rob, and additionally stands behind their products and services and REALLY TAKES CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.
I really feel, as usual, Welsch treated me very fairly.
On another note, my mother received her very generous Bread Co. gift card (for recommending you to me). She has promised to take me out for a delicious lunch. We both thank you. It is difficult to find businesses today that provide personal and dependable service. The Welsch company is steadfast in the way you take care of your customers. Very fast installation
Our gas furnace replacement was completed in less than 2 hours! Everything was cleaned up and working in about half the time I expected.
My wife and I got home last night at 10:00 to find that our main floor furnace was not working. We have an upstairs furnace as well but no one lives there right now. I immediately called the people who put the HVAC in our house originally and who I have used throughout the past 16 years-Welsch Heating and Cooling. I spoke directly to a live person (not in India) and we agreed we could make it through the night. At 7:15 this morning they called to better understand the problem. At 9:00 their service man was at our door. He diagnosed the problem and offered to fix it or, since it would be expensive, suggested replacing the 16 + year old furnace. We agreed on a very good price. At 12:00 the installer was at my house. At 2:30 we had a new furnace up and running. Wow, still 8 hours left before it will be 24 hours since the problem was noticed. There is still fair and good service in this world and that’s why I need to share.-- Ray W.
